Wage & Hour Rights and Responsibilities

Wage Payment: Employee rights consist of:- Spend for all incomes earned (INFO # 3) at the rate accepted by the employer and employee.

– Pay of a minimum of base pay (INFO # 1), the appropriate Colorado or regional base pay, and all made overtime salaries without impermissible deductions from their incomes;.

– Pay of all earned wages without impermissible reductions (INFO # 16).

Labor Statutes, Rules, & Published Guidance

Statutes & Rules: employment DLSS imposes much of Colorado’s wage and hour and other types of labor statutes and labor rules, consisting of the Colorado Wage Act, the Colorado Overtime and Minimum Pay Standards (” COMPS Order”), and the Equal Spend For Equal Work Act. Published Guidance: The Division’s main kinds of public assistance are:- INFOs (Interpretive Notices and Formal Opinions) – the Division’s formally approved notifications, viewpoints, and descriptions on different labor law subjects; and.

Written Demands, Complaints, & Investigations

Demands & Complaints for Wages: If an employer owes you wages, you can send your company a written need for payment of wages by mail, e-mail, text, or other electronic means. A written need may be sent to the employer at the same time a Labor Standards Complaint Form for overdue salaries is submitted with the Division. The Labor Standards Complaint Form can be discovered on our Demands, Complaints, Responses, and employment Settlements website.

Employer Responses in Investigations: Once a complete Labor Standards Complaint Form is gotten and reviewed, a letter explaining the nature of the grievance and the amounts alleged to be owed is sent to the company. Investigations Launched by the Division (” Direct Investigations”): The Division might conduct employer-wide direct investigations of potential offenses of Colorado wage and hour law. If you wish to submit a tip, please email the Division at cdle_di_tips@state.co.us. If you wish to submit a specific claim for overdue wages, employment you need to fill out a Labor Standards Complaint Form on our Demands, Complaints, Responses, and Settlements web page. To appeal a direct investigation citation or several Notices of Assessment, a supposed company may submit a Direct Investigation Appeal Form.
